Another piece from my newest series of work based on passing glimpses and views from night train windows. Depending on the movement and speed of the train, these are naturally abstracted to one degree or another but there is always an impression, a suggestion which informs your brain of what might be going on 'out there'. Whilst some are more abstract and not necessarily specifically recognisable places, the shaft of luminous light disappearing into the sky in the background, is actually the Shard. In all of these pieces, to one extent or another I'm exploring the contrast and relationship between movement and concrete solidity.
